Install guides

These are the exact instructions our customers follow, published in full so you can see what installing EasyNav involves before you spend a dollar. After you buy, your dashboard has a Download tab with your widget as a file (easynav-widget.js) and as a paste-in version for platforms with a code box. Most installs are a single copy-paste and take under five minutes.

Check this one thing before buying

EasyNav needs a place to put custom code. Most hosted site builders allow this only on their paid plans (the per-platform notes below say which). And a few managed platforms don’t allow custom code at all: if your site runs on a closed government or institutional CMS such as CivicPlus, you likely can’t add EasyNav yourself, and it isn’t a fit.

Platforms

Easiest path uses the free WPCode plugin so you don’t have to edit theme files. WordPress.com customers need a Business plan or higher to install plugins; self-hosted WordPress.org has no plan restriction.

  1. On the Download tab, click Copy paste-in version.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New, search for WPCode (Insert Headers and Footers), install and activate it.
  3. Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer from the left sidebar.
  4. Paste your widget code into the Footer box.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. If you use a caching plugin (WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, etc.), clear the cache so the widget shows up for visitors.

Not seeing the button?

Most platforms only run custom code on the published site, so publish your changes and check the live page (a hard refresh helps). Your copy of the widget has no domain restrictions, so it works on preview URLs and staging too. Still stuck? Open your browser console (right-click → Inspect → Console) and look for a message starting with [EasyNav], or email hello@easynav.io and we’ll get it working with you.
